Peru, as a signatory and adherent to the Declaration on International Investment and Multinational Enterprises of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), committed to follow the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises (OECD Guidelines ) and implement the National Contact Point (NCP), which is located in PROINVERSIÓN (1).
El 01 de julio de 2009 mediante Acuerdo de Consejo Directivo de PROINVERSIÓN N° 294-01-2009 se estableció que el Punto Nacional de Contacto del Perú (PNC Perú) estará ubicado en la Agencia de Promoción de la Inversión Privada del Perú – PROINVERSIÓN. Adicionalmente, en este acuerdo se indicó que el Órgano Superior del PNC Perú será el Consejo Directivo de PROINVERSIÓN y se le instruyó para que la Dirección Ejecutiva de PROINVERSIÓN actúe como Secretaría Técnica del PNC Perú desarrollando sus actividades a través de la Dirección de Facilitación y Promoción de Inversiones (Hoy, Dirección de Servicios al Inversionista).
SEE PERU’S NCP IMPLEMENTATION AGREEMENT
The Peruvian NCP favors the effectiveness of the OECD Guidelines, by carrying out promotional activities, handling queries, and supporting companies and interested parties in taking appropriate measures to promote the application of the Guidelines. Likewise, it contributes to the resolution of issues that arise in the implementation of the OECD Guidelines in specific instances, providing a forum for dialogue to the parties involved for their resolution.
The Peruvian NCP operates in accordance with the fundamental criteria to promote compliance with the objective of functional equivalence:
- visibility
- accessibility
- transparency
- responsibility
It also participates in the Global Network and the Regional Network of National Contact Points of the OECD, as well as the Working Group on Responsible Business Conduct.
