PROINVERSIÓN is pleased to announce the call for the Comprehensive Project Tenders for the concession of the Project “Improvement of the Sewerage and Wastewater Treatment System of the City of Puerto Maldonado” (hereinafter, Puerto Maldonado WWTP Project).
The Puerto Maldonado WWTP Project is classified as a Co-Financed Public-Private Partnership (PPP) under the modality of State Initiative. The estimated investment required for the project amounts to S/ 180 million (without VAT), and the period of the concession is 22 years and 6 months.
The remuneration to the concessionaire will be made once the operation begins, through an Available Payment Mechanism subject to performance deductions. The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation, on behalf of the State, will be responsible for 100% of the remuneration corresponding to investment component of the project.
The intended responsibilities for the potential concessionaire will be to design, finance, build, rehabilitate, expand, operate and maintain the collection, treatment and disposal systems for municipal wastewater in the city of Puerto Maldonado; also including technical support to the service provider company (EPS EMAPAT S.A.) for the monitoring and control of the Maximum Allowable Values.
The primary components to be developed include: domestic sewer connections, primary and secondary sewerage networks, pumping chambers with the respective drive lines and the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) for an average flow rate of 400 L/s.
